Two-Hour Power Pledge
If one relative of each student at King contributes 2 hours just once during the school year, we would give more than 1,000 hours! So let’s do it. Please fill out the Two-Hour Power Pledge from the PTO that your children are bringing home in their backpacks this week and return to school by Friday, October 16. Thank you!
No School on Monday, October 12
In recognition of Columbus Day, there will be no school on Monday, October 12.
School Flu Vaccination Clinic at MLK | Tuesday, October 13, 4:00-6:30 pm
MLK Elementary’s school flu vaccination clinic will be held on Tuesday, October 13 from 4:00-6:30 pm. You may register in advance online (click here) or register onsite during the clinic. Please bring your heath insurance card (there is no cost for the flu vaccination). Everyone in the family can get their flu shot during this clinic, so come together and get this done to protect your health and the public health this fall and winter.
MLK Harvest Festival | Tuesday, October 27, 5:30-7:30 pm
The MLK Harvest Festival is a fun family gathering to celebrate Fall! The Harvest Festival features games, dancing, arts and crafts, and food. Click here to RSVP on Facebook and invite friends!
We need lots of help to make the Harvest Fest a success! Please sign up to bake and help out during the event online: www.SignUpGenius.com/go/409044BABAF22A31-mlkharvest or send email to email@example.com to tell us how you’d like to help.
This month, King students will be attending field trips across Rhode Island and Massachusetts! Students will be going to Cooper Hill Farm, Four Town Farm, Coggeshall Farm, and Plimouth Plantation. Later in the season, students will also be attending a ballet production of “Twas the Night before Christmas.” Make sure you look for and sign your children’s permission slips for these trips, and for including any requested financial contributions.
