Our 1st Annual MLK Carnival was a HUGE success! We had a great turnout and everyone had lots of fun. The dunk tank and pie-throwing booth were big hits. Thanks to all the staff and parent volunteers who did such an amazing job organizing and running this event!
Just a few short notes for this short school week.
First, a reminder that there is NO SCHOOL on Thursday and Friday, September 25 and 26, due to Rosh Hashanah
Tomorrow night, Tuesday September 23, will be the first MLK PTO meeting of the school year. The topic will be “How to help your children with their homework,” and the discussion will be led by MLK’s math and reading coaches. Come learn strategies to improve your child’s educational experience through your participation at home. Pizza and childcare will be provided.
On Friday, October 3, the MLK fundraising walkathon, otherwise known as Flight of the Falcon, will take place at the Hope High School track during school hours. Look for more information about this event to go home in backpacks soon.
